Enshuichi is made from strictly selected green teas, with a distinguished taste and "in-season, aroma", produced by excellent tea plantations recognized as the best green tea producers in Japan at the national tea exhibition fair held at one of Japan's major centers of tea production, the Enshu region of Shizuoka. They have also received an award from the Japanese Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. We blend, heat, and process the tea leaves ourselves using our own techniques to make "a tea artisan's best tea".

Funwari Yamazato no Ocha-batake (tea plantation in a mountain valley) The gentle aroma and the rich taste spreads softly in your mouth.

The main material of "Ocha-batake" is deep-steamed tea cultivated on a tea plantation in the mountainous area of our Enshu region. We heat and process light-steamed and medium-steamed teas separately, and then blend them to make the well-balanced and most popular green tea in our shop. You can enjoy its sweet aroma upon heating, its umami taste, its refreshing feeling in your throat, and its long-lasting, refreshing flavor.

We blend Gyokuro, gently cultivated and carefully shaded with straw-mats, and Shizuoka Sencha, then mature the blend and cover with high quality Matcha. Please enjoy its blissful, gentle sweetness.

Award at Monde Selection

The internationally authoritative contest for quality assessment has its headquarters in Belgium. Since it was established in 1961 with the aim of evaluating consumer products on the markets, a large number of products from all over the world have been evaluated. Receiving a Monde Selection award is a touchstone which indicates that a company is capable of producing and managing high quality products to world standards. It can be proof that a product is considered to be world-class.
Product examination is conducted based on a product's category, such as food, drinks, health products, and cosmetics. Up to two thousand or more products from over 80 countries are evaluated at the Monde Selection contest every year. In Japan, the contest has been widely recognized ever since a major beer company introduced it in a TV commercial. Since then, many companies have entered their own products and been granted Quality Awards.
